WordPress Woes

WordPress Logo

Not quite four months ago, I  re-started this blog, and I’m pretty happy with myself  because I haven’t given up on it (yet).   I make time to write and try to post regularly but it’s been trial and error and I’m still learning. My tech skills are limited at best and  frustrating  hours spent figuring out how to   embed videos, post pictures, and add links had me tearing out my hair. Thanks to YouTube, I worked out some of that stuff, but it was challenging.

My  original idea was to write posts about  my fear of writing and stepping out of my comfort zone. But since then it’s sort-of branched off into a little bit of everything.

I’ve been thinking I might attract a larger readership if I narrowed my content. I have  a couple of ideas for another blog and thought I could maintain  both and see how that worked.

I want my new blog to have a bit more pizzazz, but I don’t  want to spend a lot of money.  ANY money, really, but if it will help to give the blog a polished, more professional look, well, okay. Maybe some.

So I started doing a little research, studying to figure out what I needed to do to create this new, improved blog.  It shouldn’t be too hard, now that I’m a seasoned blogger.

I CAN’T BELIEVE HOW MUCH I DON’T KNOW!

It’s making my eyes go googly in my head…..

Dot com or dot org?

Free theme? Premium theme? Featured theme?

Custom domain?  Primary domain? Private domain?

Email hosting?

Custom design?

No ads? WordAds?

And I thought narrowing down a topic was going to be difficult.

Whoa.

It may be some time before my next baby gets up and running.
